How to use an oxi cleaner for stain-free cloths

Oxi cleaners, which are short for oxygen cleaners, are laundry products that contain oxygen-based bleaching agents. They are specially designed to remove tough stains, brighten whites, and refresh colors without the use of chlorine bleach. Oxi cleaners work by releasing oxygen bubbles that help break down stains and lift them from the fabric.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to use oxi cleaners effectively:

1. Read the Label: Before using any oxi cleaner, carefully read the instructions and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for dosage and application.

2. Pre-Treat Stains: For heavily stained areas, it's best to pre-treat the stains before washing. Apply a small amount of the oxi cleaner directly to the stain and gently rub it in with your fingers or a soft brush. Let it sit for a few minutes to penetrate the stain before washing.

3. Dissolve the Oxi Cleaner: If you're using a powdered oxi cleaner, dissolve the recommended amount in water according to the instructions on the packaging. Make sure the water is warm enough to dissolve the powder completely.

4. Add to the Wash: Once the oxi cleaner is dissolved, add it to the washing machine along with your regular laundry detergent. Make sure to place the clothing items in the machine so that there is enough space for water and detergent to circulate freely.

5. Select the Wash Cycle: Choose the appropriate wash cycle on your washing machine based on the fabric type and level of soiling. For heavily soiled items, a longer wash cycle with a higher water temperature may be necessary.

6. Extra Boost: For extra stain-fighting power, you can add additional oxi cleaner directly to the washing machine drum before starting the wash cycle. This is especially helpful for heavily soiled or stained items.

7. Monitor the Wash: During the wash cycle, keep an eye on the machine to ensure that everything is washing properly. If you notice any remaining stains after the cycle is complete, you may need to repeat the pre-treatment and washing process.

8. Air Dry or Tumble Dry: Once the wash cycle is finished, remove the clothing from the machine and either air dry them or tumble dry them according to the care instructions on the garment labels.

By following these steps, you can effectively use an oxi cleaner to remove stains and brighten your laundry without the need for harsh chlorine bleach.
